Review on RSVP International Endurance Collection Stainless Steel Kitty Litter ๐Ÿพ Scoop - Durable and Stylish Scoop for Easy Pet Waste Management by Carolina Tavarez

Fine, but it could be made more ergonomic and durable for another $2-$5.

The scoop glides easily over the litter as it is made of steel. The back of the shovel will collect quite a bit of debris since it has far fewer holes. To do this, you have to tilt the dustpan forward to avoid a lot of dirt. Unfortunately, this can result in a lump of feces or urine falling off the scoop back into the trash. I agree with other reviewers that the handle is folded and not tight which can be uncomfortable to grip. You had to fold over the edges completely so your hand only touches the beautiful curved surfaces. I'm an engineer and would expect the bucket to come loose from the handle as it's attached with only 5 small spot welds. Spot welds are brittle joints and do not respond well to repeated bending loads. The shovel had to be integrated with the handle in the same forging to produce a shovel that would never fail. The hilt may have been solid steel rather than thin plate. It won't cost much since you can buy steel for $1 a pound. I get offers from suppliers all the time, so I know the cost of materials isn't too high. This is a classic example of someone designing a 3 star blade to try to minimize costs rather than produce an optimized 5 star product. Image has been updated so you can see what the spoon looks like after use. The clay bed sticks to the metal shovel like dirt, which didn't happen with my plastic shovel. This is a problem when urine collects on the wall of the bowl. This is pretty rude and unhygienic in terms of bacteria.
