This case is 100% what I expected. COSMETIC COATING ONLY. It offers no real protection other than from stains and scratches. I've never been a fan of huge, bulky suitcases that can withstand a nuclear blast or a fall from the 27th floor of an apartment building. I just wanted a slim case that would provide VERY basic scratch protection for the back and sides of the tablet while maintaining a relatively similar size and feel. I use a carrying case when transporting and storing the tablet, so I just needed something to cover the tablet thinly while in use. Fits perfectly to all requirements. I like that it's thin but the tablet doesn't get dirty. If you're looking for a slim case, you can't beat this for the price. Make no mistake though, this case does NOT offer much protection other than cosmetic stains. It doesn't offer any drop protection or leak protection at all, it doesn't. Whatever it is, for the price you can't beat it. Be smart though and understand that you are essentially buying the equivalent of a screen protector shaped like a case.
