Review on πŸ”΅ WAYNE CDU980E 0.75 HP Submersible Sump Pump - Cast Iron & Stainless Steel, Integrated Vertical Float Switch by Bob Trapp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid pump, thoughtful design

Received yesterday (via Sunday Prime delivery) along with Campbell's silent sump check valve, pulled out old pump and installed this with no problems. My 5 year old Zoeller 1/2 HP was on a short cycle and I knew the end was near. While I can't yet comment on the life of this pump as it's only been in the quarry for 24 hours, I'm impressed with the solid construction and design, which has the pump suction port positioned just enough above the base to prevent fine gravel in front the intrusion. from suction. Runs very quietly and fills a 3/4 hole in about 20 seconds. Don't forget to drill a 1/8" drain hole in the riser to allow the water under the check valve to drain back into the sump. EDIT: The pump stopped working after one night. The float switch once failed to turn off the pump. the water has reached the off level. I will update this when I have a full overview of customer service interactions. Pump #1. The replacement has been running quietly and reliably ever since. I would buy a Wayne pump again anytime.
