honestly, I bought this for my bathroom. I live in an old house with no fan in the bathroom, usually it doesn't bother me. However, the litter box is also in my bathroom, it smells of people and cats and we have a fever. The bathroom needed a fan to ventilate it. This fan does it. I attached it to a mirror, maybe I could attach it to a towel rail or soap dish. It's a little heavy so needs to be adjusted every few days but it's ok for my use. I don't find the noise disturbing for my application, but it's probably too loud for an office environment, especially if you have an open plan office. High settings are really good. Probably works well on a bedside table too.
