Review on Beechwood Enamel Butter Dish: SveBake's Stylish and Functional Holder by Todd Look

Enamelware exceeded all my expectations. Fits easily on two sticks of butter and is delicious. Disappointed on top as the wood has no finish or varnish and was quite rough. The very first time I poured oil into a plate, some of the oil spilled from my finger over the wooden lid, leaving a greasy stain. (Think of oil lying on porous, untreated wood.) I've since sanded down the top with fine sandpaper to give it a little nicer touch, and I've also treated the wood with olive oil to prevent further oil stains. I'm keeping it because I love this dish, but before you buy it, look closely at the third and last photo to get an idea of what the tree looks like. The first photo creates an almost varnished or varnished look - which is misleading. The penultimate photo is more realistic.
