This filter does not fit exactly like the Honda factory filter. The Honda OEM filter only had two small strips of hot melt to reinforce the pleats. Replaced by 3 strips. OK - not a big deal except that the strap change points (every 3 lines) got in the way of the retainer protrusions on either end of the pleats. Two strips of OEM glue fit into two slots in the factory filter. You will need to cut strips of hot melt adhesive at each end of all three strips, or alternatively, drill new notches in the factory plastic filter holder. I added a notch in the middle of the tab on each end to remove the middle strip of glue and notched the outer strips of glue on both ends (just the last fold) to avoid hitting the tabs on the holder. Obviously the factory that makes these filters never installed them on a 2011 FIT! I have no idea about other years. Seems to fit differently. I cannot judge the quality of the filter material itself. Otherwise the filter dimensions were correct.
