These bells and straps appear to be well made and at a good price. I'm having a hard time giving a star rating. For me and the intended use, that's one star. For something decorative, unobtrusive noise, five stars. I bought two of these to hang on doorknobs to warn me if my wife opens the front or kitchen door while I'm in another room. I was completely misled by the comments/ratings about how loud the calls are. One person even said they could be heard in a medium sized house. That confuses me. The bells are ringing; they don't ring. They only make a sound that is clearly audible in the next room of our modest (1,500 square foot) ranch home when the door is firmly closed. When the door is normally closed, the ringing in the next room is so faint that you have to listen very carefully to hear it. Two rooms later: forget it. By the way, my hearing is fine.
