Review on 📐 Swingline 18-Inch Cut Length Guillotine Paper Trimmer - ClassicCut Ingento, Maple - 15 Sheet Capacity by Carrie Spencer

Although I was so happy about the quick delivery, my joy was short-lived. I immediately saw that the markings on the ruler above didn't match the chart on the bed. I also noticed that the ruler appears to be made out of soft wood that will wear down over time. When I cut a 4 1/4" long sheet from a single sheet of 11" card stock, the cut widened at the bottom no matter how well I held it in place. I'm not new to papercutting, having been a retired teacher by trade and a card and paper maker by the age of 15. I did a test with 5 sheets of carbon paper, making the same cut on the swingline and on my trusty dahle. The precise cut of the dahle was immediately recognizable in the uneven, rough cut of the swing line. I sent Swingline back within an hour. I will continue to use the dahe which I am happy with in all respects except the ruler is missing the 1/4" and 1/8" markings and the grid has already worn out twice. Maybe I have a lemon. Does anyone know a really good guillotine cutter?
