I love the soft mid-weight cotton flannel, but the boxy cut means this dress gives off serious nightshirt vibes, at least on my pudgy, pear-shaped body. I’m hoping to find the right belt to style this, but if I don’t, it’ll still be in heavy rotation as a house dress over leggings on work from home days this fall and winter since it feels cozy and wonderful and looks plenty professional from the clavicles up for physics department Zooms, even though it isn’t particularly flattering as a dress. I love that there are side-seam pockets big enough to hold my phone. I sized up, and am glad I did since I wouldn’t want it to be smaller in the hips even though it is huge in the waist. If this had buttons all the way down rather than being a popover, I’d use it as an unbuttoned big shirt over a fitted tank or tee since that way I wouldn’t look like a shapeless blob.
