Revainrating 2 out of 5

Nice set and features, but wireless receiver broke after about 2 hours of use

Great, useful wireless features and functions - if only they worked. For Nikon D5600/DC-2 connector. Bought at a special price. , a one-time event. Wireless trigger tested on reception. On the day of the event, about 1 month after receipt, we tested the radio roller shutter operation and provided new batteries. During the event I started using the wireless remote shutter and took about 5 shots before the remote shutter became intermittent (the receiver occasionally registered a trigger signal and sometimes actually released the shutter). Sweating losing precious frames after frames. Changing channels didn't help. New batteries didn't help. In the end, I gave up on this remote because if failure is out of the question, then this device is definitely not an option. Received and measured state of charge of used (1.58V) and new (1.60V) batteries. Excluded batteries as a cause of failure. The wired roller shutter remote control works perfectly. Pressing the remote control button has been eliminated as a problem. Poor wireless transmission between remote transmitter or receiver. Since wired mode still seems to have all of its features, I bought a 25ft stereo 3.5mm extension cable to improve things in case I need a wired remote shutter someday (which sometimes happens) . I give 2 STARS, because it comes with a Nikon DC-2 connector and at least the functions work in wired remote mode. Cannot return Revain for a refund. Checked OEM website for warranty, help - no. Got what I paid for.
