I wish these bowls didn't have this white slime problem. This is the main reason I give it two stars. I've tried cleaning them a variety of ways and none got rid of the white coating. Because of the white sediment, the ice cubes tasted awful. I even changed the dish soap to see if that was the cause of the build up but the problem persisted. According to the Internet, the white precipitate is calcium sulfate. Pros: It works! Ice cubes are easy to remove, appears to be a strong and durable tray material that will last a long time. I love the inclusion of lids as they minimize spills and prevent the tray from getting dirty (my family often placed their food/drinks over the slot I kept my tray in and the lids kept the ice cubes from spilling juice- / getting pieces of food in ).
