I was just learning to knit so I skipped patterns that didn't require the same size needle as me. There is a wide range of sizes in this set so I now have needles for almost everything I want to do and they have worked great so far. There are no shards and each set is the same diameter. The bag is a nice bonus, easy to roll up and tie. My only complaint is that they aren't all straight and the tips are blunt. I knitted more, and curvy shapes didn't spoil anything, but blunt ends get in the way. Makes anything more than a simple garter or a little complicated. At 5mm and below they get curvy and abpvw the tips get really blunt. I placed them next to my 5mm Boye needles for comparison. For starters they work fine but as I improve I will update for sure.
