I bought two individual bulbs (not 2 each) and installed one of them. Compared to the stock, never-replaced factory bulb in my 74,000-mile Jeep, I see no difference in brightness when I alternately cover one light with my hat and then the other. I drive a BMW with Hella headlights for the German market in which I have 100 watt H1 bulbs and these bulbs are nowhere near as bright as my (real) 100 watt H1 bulbs. I haven't tried measuring voltage and current, but other reviewers here have noted that these bulbs don't draw around 100 watts. I don't have a pair of known genuine Hella 9005 bulbs to compare but I suspect they are not genuine Hella but some kind of cheap fake. As for returns, I doubt I'll bother. At four bucks a piece, it probably isn't worth my trouble and will only annoy me more.
