It doesn't bother me even though I'm a very pale and pale looking person. I probably spend less than 5% of my waking hours with my arms above my head, so very few people will notice a gray cast when I'm sleeveless. One final note: I noticed irritation (red bumps) under use when I first started using it, so I switched to a soap-free underarm cleanser and the bumps are gone.
