Initially I needed a way to give my little son some rest. I knew having the extra space for riding and sporting gear on my NC700X wouldn't hurt. Combining the two ideas, I settled on a 47 liter Givi. The 46 liters were too round for my taste. I was concerned that the 47 might look too big for a bike, but with the back pad the lines are nice and clear. I would recommend adding LED lights for safety. They sit at eye level. Fixed on its mount, it's secure enough and feels solid. No problem if something rattles, for a month's drive. In terms of space, it easily fits my full face helmet (L) and my son's full face helmet (S) or all his football gear including the helmet (kid size).
