and I know full well how instability is related to .

I am very skeptical of seemingly useless accessories or at least items that bring very little profit. Spring. These things work. really good. My scope is mounted on a Celestron CGEM DX and I know full well how unstable this mount is. I know how much the image shakes and for how long depending on the eyepiece used, the slew speed I'm using, and how hard I hit the eyepiece in normal viewing with that particular mount. First night of use and I couldn't believe how well these things absorb vibration from assembly manipulation. It literally felt like I upgraded the mounts. The concrete platform my telescope sits on is rock solid and doesn't suffer from vibration even if you start jumping. I bought them mainly to keep the tripod legs from wearing out, but these things keep the vibration from going back to the telescope when rotating. , viewing and photographing. I rarely praise a product as I usually have high expectations but for forty bucks it's worth it.
