Bought this for my boyfriend but we both love it! It's nice to see my friend using it in the kitchen - he's like a kid in a candy store. It's very easy to get started with. First, set your grinder to the level you want your salt or pepper to be ground to (fine or coarse, or somewhere in between). Then insert some batteries. The blue indicator should light up when the device is turned on. You turn it upside down, the blue light comes on and it automatically starts grinding salt or pepper, so make sure you only turn it upside down over the food or you could have a real mess - lol! My only regret is that I only bought one - I should have bought a set of 2. It just makes cooking more fun for everyone (and can make you look and feel freaky as hell!) It also looks and feels like a much more expensive product. . I highly recommend!
