I use a treadmill for an exercise bike and wanted to keep track of time and distance. This device looked like it would fit the bill. Despite the negative reviews, the risk was only $9. I went through the installation and everything worked. Here are a few pointers:* The instructions don't say this, but you also need to put a battery in the sensor. There were 3 batteries included. One for the display, one for the sensor and a spare! *Since this was an exercise bike, I had to mount the sensor on the rear wheel. I had to try different locations for the sensor and display as it was recommended not to keep the distance between them more than 60cm. It was a difficult order. But I was able to find the best position and angle to mount the sensor and display to get readings at 80cm! Overall I'm happy with this purchase and it's a pretty good price for $9. I get a second!
