Review on πŸ› οΈ SCOSCHE Install Centric ICNN1BN: Effortless Aftermarket Stereo Installation Solution for Nissan 2000-06 Sentra (Metallic Gray) by Joshua Jemison

Not bad for the price but I have some issues with it.

Installed on Nissan Sentra 06 1.8S. When I bought this I knew the metallic gray wouldn't match my black dash so it's no big deal that I paint it to match. The fit is very good. It looks flush and my radio sits in the middle. Not a huge fan of the fact that it mounts on the radio and can't use a radio overlay, but I can see why that has to be the case with this model. Everything was fine with the 2 wiring harnesses, except for the remote cable for the amplifier. My Rockford Fosgate head unit connects to 3 harnesses (I'm guessing the 3rd for a 6 disc CD changer). No big deal as I didn't want to keep the CD changer function and was already planning to get rid of the stock amp at the back. But just a note for anyone with an 06 Sentra 1.8S, if you install this kit and just use plug and play you will only have 2 rear dash speakers. Since the 3rd CD changer wiring harness is not used, I moved a jumper from my new head unit remote wire to the standard wire that matches the remote wire harness control wire and I still had no front speakers. This isn't such a big deal though as I already had the amp and the remote wire ran through the extension cord and was tied to a wire I connected to the ignition fuse on the fuse box. I solved my problem with the missing front speakers by finding a schematic for this amp on the internet, which was a tricky search for my stock amp. I disconnected both harnesses from my stock amp, cut 4 small input wires and 4 large output wires, matched them in polarity between channels, and the Boom got speakers in the front doors and tweeters in the A-pillars. What I didn't like about the plastic mounting piece was the clip on the lower panel for the air conditioning and heater controls didn't snap and didn't snap on the left side. I tape it on so it stays in place. But for $16, I like the quality of the plastic and the wiring harnesses.
