I used them for practicing and testing paints or dip powder. they are plastic. a little thinner than I expected but overall it doesn't matter. they did their job. The ring could be a bit bigger for the number of sticks you get. it doesn't really matter much and might seem a bit strange, but they're pretty loud. This is the first one I have so I don't know if it's a problem or not, but when I pick them up or hold them in my hands they rub against each other and make a strange noise. some people might be sensitive to this, I found it funny mainly because I wasn't expecting it xD
