After reading so many reviews on this product I'm not sure some people understand the purpose of this product. While it can do more, it is best suited for lighting an accent niche or under a cabinet or shelf, perhaps in a small closet etc. The photo shows how beautifully it illuminates and highlights the shampoo niche in my shower. If you want to do the same, install a 1 1/4" wide skirt on the front edge of the top to cover the battery. As you can see, it's great for this application with no cords or electrical requirements. Because it's battery powered , I don't use it as the main light source, I use it to accent the room and provide additional lighting, we love it.
