The problem with this product is that while activated and plugged in, it will still discharge its battery.After being plugged in and running on the lowest setting for several hours, it takes a short time, maybe fifteen minutes, to charge to full once deactivated, indicating minimal discharge. However, on the highest setting, it will, over time, fully discharge the batteries and stop working even while plugged in. This is obviously undesirable, and not what I had expected; presumably the power supplied by the cord is insufficient for operation of the fan, but this is not made clear in the product description. Aside from preventing continuous operation at the highest setting it will have a negative effect on battery life.Aside from this factor, I find the fan to be quiet, well made and generally satisfactory.EDIT: Bumped from 3 stars to 4, after considering how hard it would be to cover these details in the product description.
