Review on ACDelco 252 593 Professional Water Pump by Jesse Jewett

I needed to replace the water pump on a 1981 Chevrolet C10 250 4.1L inline six engine. I chose this ACDelco pump because it was new and not rebuilt/remanufactured like most other pumps. The pump fits exactly as it should and my truck is back in action. I don't know if the pump I replaced was original or not because I used a truck. I mention this because the only difference between this ACDelco pump and the pump it replaced is the impeller design. The old pump had a cast iron impeller while the ACDelco used stamped steel. Another difference is that the blades of the ACDelco pump are about twice as wide as the other pump. The impeller diameter is the same for both pumps. The real test, however, will be to see how long this pump lasts. Thank you for reading.
