These lights work surprisingly well. They are ideal for homes, campsites or parties where there is enough sunlight and no electricity. They are bright and given the amount of sun exposure they receive, they can last for a significant amount of time. Mine usually lasts 4-5 hours on a full charge. One skein I have isn't fully exposed to the sun, although it does get "something". I found that the garland doesn't glow as brightly and the charge doesn't last as long, which makes sense. The lamps are shatterproof which is nice and the length of the lamps covers the area of our patio. There are three settings on the lamps. Blinking, intermittent blinking and on. Final impression, I've only had mine for a few weeks, overall I'm satisfied. My only concern is how long the photocell charger will last.
