5 megapixel cameras are crisp and clear even at night but natural colors are washed out. Installing cameras and connecting cables and power is self-explanatory. Programming a DVR and connecting to the internet is much more difficult. The included little manual is almost useless and doesn't cover any programming. After spending a few days trying to get email notifications, I finally got it working with Gmail. The camera's alarm sensitivity is too sensitive even on the lowest settings and the DVR sends many false alarms. The Android viewer app works well, but lacks the ability to rewind and view recorded video. You only get live streaming. I couldn't find a working Android TV app. If you try to download the manuals and help from Hiseeu website, the link will take you to the wrong page and you will not be able to download anything. Update 10/13/2019: I fixed the warning issue about sending too many fake emails by disabling motion detection and using people detection. I also found early detection with a wire tension feature that can be placed in the driveway to warn of an approaching car. Motion detection alerts just don't work on outdoor cameras with wind and shadows. XMEYE and had to be configured manually. Update after 8 months. All 4 cameras failed in 8 months. I have contacted the company and they will send a replacement but when I look at the product there is no guarantee. I would expect such a system to last at least 5 years, but the quality of the electronics in the cameras doesn't allow for that. Bad product from China. Update 08/08/2020 This block lasted less than 10 months. Both the cameras and the DVR were down. In the box, Hiseeu doesn't have a CS email and asks you to contact them if you have a problem and they will fix it. I asked for a full refund or a full replacement. Their offer was a 50% refund and storage of the broken device. First they wanted to return their cameras and wanted me to pay for the return shipping. Typical Chinese CS.poor. I told them I would contact Revain CS as the device should last a full year. Revain came out on top and did what was right for me. Lesson learned. Do not use a Chinese branded product without a 1-year guarantee statement. Why doesn't Revain ask for a warranty from the seller?
