I had to connect to my computer to change the default to HDMI so I could connect to the TV. After that it is very easy to work. I've had other systems but I find the interface much simpler. What a great product! I had it out of the box and was up and running in about 10 minutes! I suggest doing what others have suggested and hooking up everything on the table first to get familiar with the wiring and also just to make sure everything works.
