Excellent soldering iron at a very good price

This MINIWARE NewHail TS80P digital soldering iron is an updated version of the excellent TS80 soldering iron and is a sister product to the TS100. This soldering iron is superb in its performance and although the price seems high it is the cheapest I have found and definitely worth the investment. It heats up quite quickly thanks to support for the PD2.0 or QC3.0 power protocol, which ensures compatibility with numerous sources. It features a USB Type-C power input and runs open source software that can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. There is also a git source for the open source firmware you want to update. The warm up time I got from a PD2.0 power supply at 9.0V was about 20 seconds from cold and it held its temperature accurately. What I like about this iron is that it's very small, which gives me more precise control over its tip. One update I'll be adding soon is the soft "liquid" silicone USB cable. Having seen and experienced the abuse that silicone cables can endure, I am convinced that this is the most desirable way to work. No more burned cables! The iron comes with a TS B02 tip which is a small cone well suited for surface mount technology (SMT) but I have already bought a BC02 with a small 45 degree through hole (TTH) tip. ) pad soldering and I can switch to a J02 tip which will just be a curved B02 in the future. The sleep function is amazing and it takes very little time to heat up to operating temperature. The OLED display is informative and allows you to quickly change the default hardware values. Need more heat? Just choose it. Although this iron cannot completely replace an expensive soldering station, it has quickly become my favorite when I am on the go, as it can be operated with both power banks and USB chargers.
