- Came new, in a box, well protected - with a small case. I like it because it's a larger lens, nice and bright (which means it's a bit "thicker" than some). I wanted something I can take with me in my car for quick access, this seems perfect. I have some that were way more expensive but this one seems good for the price. 6x magnification seems good to me. Eye relief is around 20-25mm (good if you wear glasses - just get used to bringing your eye too close to the eyepiece as it will only frustrate you). I would like to see a sliding rubber ring on the eyepiece to close that gap between the eyepiece and the eye (to keep light out of the eye). The last thing I was hoping for was being able to use it with a "smartphone" - with eye relief - that might work (but I haven't tried it yet). If I get a chance to try it I will post an update to this review. - NO "caps" (dust, protection, no) - I'd rather have caps and will look for the ones used on the rifle. Scale. You get a cleaning cloth, but I'd rather not dust the lenses but clean them. Finally it was a bit confusing to use, yes ONE ring, it was very tight and I thought it was a solid part - but when I got it everything was fine. It's suitable when the focus is set to "infinity" (or "far") - basically where I would use it. It also seems to focus fairly close, and the large lens is a big plus. Overall I like it, but with a few caveats.
