Bought these for some stools after installing the set on dining room chairs. Like the glides for the chairs, they're smooth, although they seem to be more "scratchy" than the previous set - not that they scratch the floor. They glide on the same floor with a bit more noise and resistance, but I think that may be because counters are heavier than dining room chairs. When I assembled the harness, the screws that came with it were soft and broke easily. I ended up buying similar sized screws at the hardware store for just a penny. This time the screws seemed tightened with less breakage. A larger brown cup screws into the bottom of the chair leg. The lighter cover then simply snaps into place. They seem to come apart easily, but once the chair presses on them, they stay together.
