I bought these to replace the original filters in my DC40 and am very happy with this purchase. They cost less than 1/7 the cost of factory-supplied filters and look virtually identical. I can't comment on how well they filter the smallest particles but they are perfect for a vacuum cleaner, vastly increasing suction over the original filters which were too dirty to clean and almost eliminating the loud howl that used to be produced through the machine. when the power is off.
