When I first bought it, I wasn't sure. At first he seems fragile. It works well but doesn't overload large heavy equipment. I bought this selfie stick because I can use my Gopro 5 or my phone. It is very comfortable. You don't have to have two selfie sticks, one for gopro and one for cellphone. Comes with two different adapters. It is very easy to change base adapter for camera or for gopro. When folded, it measures approximately 1 1/2" in diameter and 7 3/4" in length. The Bluetooth remote control is small and stored in a stand. You can easily lose it if you don't attach it to the base properly. The structure is mostly plastic, but the main telescopic shaft is metal. Convenient to use and easy to carry. Don't put a heavy bag inside, it may break the plastic or bend the shaft. Overall it works for me because it's not very bulky and easy to carry around in a jacket.
