I am a longtime user of Onyx books, before Nova Air C there was Darwin 1, before that it was an ancient texet - there is something to compare with. I was really looking forward to a color e-book with a large screen on Android - and finally I waited, and when I bought it, it gave me those very genuine emotions, when it is very interesting to understand the gadget, I want to use it as often as possible! The main advantage of this book is the color screen. When I bought the book, I did not think that the colors would be so saturated. I thought that, as is typical for electronic ink, the screen will be predominantly black and white, and colored pixels will be visible on top of them. But when I received the book I was pleasantly surprised! Also, I was very pleased with the screen refresh rate - in A2 mode (the fastest) you can use it almost like a smartphone. At the same time, the screen contrast can be attributed to one of the main shortcomings of the book - I confirm customer reviews - yes, it is almost impossible to use the screen without backlight, but the backlight does not interfere at all, the eyes really do not get tired, and this is the main thing you expect from an e-book. Further, with regard to performance - this is power! For the sake of interest, I tried to run Hearthstone on it - it works without a single glitch and doesn’t even get very hot! The browser also spins fast. Now to the cons. The book is expensive (but I was lucky, I managed to for 27k). It doesn't even come with a case! I wanted to buy Side Control, but not only do they rarely go on sale, they cost as much as an airplane wing (4500 and more). Another fat minus is autonomy. The charge is melting before our eyes, redrawing the screen intensively eats off interest. The same applies to memory - about 21GB is available out of the box - enough for now, and then . If only there was a slot for memory cards, the problem would be solved . You can see that they were working on the firmware, but so far it’s damp, I hope they’ll finish it . All in all, I really liked the book, but unfortunately there are some compromises. I attached a photo with an average backlight level in A2 mode to the review.
