I have an existing reverse osmosis system and wanted to test the remineralization before going for an integrated reverse osmosis/remineralization system. This one seemed affordable enough to test out whether or not my family liked the taste. We all love the taste but the filter was leaking badly and there was water in the cupboard that needed cleaning. The test should work. The leak is coming from the clutch so I removed the filter and inspected the o-rings which turned out to be fine. I then added some food grade grease to the o-rings to keep them from snagging when I reinstalled the filter, but that didn't seem to fix the leak so I just leave the plastic underneath until my new RO system arrives. Maybe it was a bad filter, maybe a bad receiver housing, I don't know but thought I'd share my experience in case others see this as a long term solution.
