Vividstorm 120 " ALR Screen

16:9, Ambient Light Rejection (VMSLALR120H), Long Focus. The Vividstorm screen comes in a very nice box with foam and ties to protect the case. All accessories and a small one Instructions were included nothing was missing I have no dents or scratches on the screen or frame I originally bought the screen in November 2019 during Black Friday but during shipping the screen shifted at the bottom of the screen and crumpled.I emailed customer support and photos and they responded on how to fix the problem I was having. The instructions on how to fix the problem were pretty basic but I couldn't get the screen to turn on to move or make the wrinkles go away I have requested a replacement through Revain and it took us about 12 days until a new one came to my house. When I opened the new package, I discovered that one of the clips that kept the screen from moving inward during shipping was out of place. My guess is that the clip came loose from the rail during shipping, but the other 3 clips were still there, preventing the screen from moving inwards. After removing the retaining clips, I noticed that the bottom of the screens were shifted to one side and wrinkles appeared. I am attaching these photos to the review. I decided to inspect the strainer myself and found a screw on the underside of the rail that holds string tension. All I did was remove one screw from each side of the bottom of the screen and gently pull each side of the screen so the clearance was evenly distributed across the sides of the screen. After I fixed the screen everything was fine. There were no more wrinkles on the screen. The electric drop down screen is smooth. It's not very loud, but you do hear a click as the screen folds back into the case. Pulling the screen down is quiet but not silent, and there's no rattling when it's fully open. Two remote controls included. An IR remote control and an RF remote control that can be used anywhere without pointing at the screen. The screen material reminds me of an umbrella, it is dark gray in color. The Vividstorm screen has no black bezels on the side or top. The screen has a low gain of 0.8. The body is white and made of heavy aluminum. It's well made and doesn't feel cheap at all. Installing the screen is very easy and requires 2 people. The reason I bought this screen is to watch daily news and sports during the day. I used to have a 106-inch screen, 16:9 aspect ratio, matte white, gain 1.2, and watching this type of video during the day was not comfortable at all. My previous old screen was such washed out colors that I only watched Blu-ray movies at night, so I don't have a separate room where I can turn it completely black during the day, I have a family room where I have a 55 series TV from Sony and there is a projection screen directly above the TV. I will attach pictures so you can see the difference in these two environments. Please see the TV images where the Sony logo is located at the bottom of the image. During the day I watched my Sony TV and at night I lowered the screen from the screen. up and watch movies My projector is a really old Sony Cineza HS20 with 1080i resolution and this projector puts out 952 lumens at max brightness. Since this is an old projector with a lifespan of over 300 hours, there is a 20% drop in lumens after 300 hours. So my best guess is the performance of the Sony i projector at 762 lumens. I also measured 19.69 lux with a digital light meter from about 15 feet away. The distance from my projector to the screen is 16.6 feet. I have attached many kinds of pictures of messages, 2 cartoon blinds open and closed, 2 sports blinds open and closed and pictures of movies at night with no light in the room. Day shots at 12:30 p.m. in bright sunlight. Even with my old projector I can now watch many types of shows with the blinds open or closed during the day and I'm really surprised by the picture I get. I believe that with modern projectors that put out more lumens, the picture will be more contrasting, brighter and of higher quality. Yes the images could be better with new generation projectors but knowing that with my current old projector I can see everything with a pretty decent image is amazing. All photos have not been edited and were taken on an iPhone 8. In the near future I will update the projector to a new one and post my results. This is the ALR screen that can do anything at any time. Based on my opinion, I'll rate the next screen for the following categories. Support - 5.0 stars (Combined with Revain and Vividstorm's responsive customer service, 2-year warranty) Quality - 4.4 stars (Aluminum, high-performance motor, well painted, well packaged, screen material a bit thin) Performance - 4.6 stars (good Image during daytime , good black and color values for nighttime movies)**** Photos cannot be uploaded for review
