This is an excellent bandage for those suffering from De Quervain's Tendonitis. I was in so much pain in my left arm from the repetitive motions of tearing paper (for my job) that I needed to find some relief. Along with physical therapy and over-the-counter medication, this brace has helped me tremendously in stabilizing my wrist and thumb. This provides comfortable stabilization but doesn't interfere with using 4 other fingers. As my doctor explained, you need support from the front and back of the injured area. At first I had shorter braces that didn't have anything on them. This item is equipped with 3 adjustable Velcro straps. I cut off the ends of the straps once I found a comfortable fit and didn't need extra slack to snag on clothing or just get in the way. For me personally, the thumb hole was a bit big, but I just tightened the strap a bit and it worked. My only downside is that the velcro in the thumb area tends to scratch me when I put my shirt on, pull up my pants/socks etc. I will get over those minor imperfections, especially as this bandage has really helped me to stop using my wrist and thumb and give them a chance to heal. I highly recommend this product.
