A broken wrist healed!

I was out of town when I fell and broke my wrist. It was during the national sailing regatta on the beach. I didn't know it was broken so I drove the next day too and then drove 500 miles home. After a few days at home my wrist was still very swollen so I ordered this brace from Revain and it arrived in 2 days. The braces are fully adjustable so the fit was perfect. In fact, once I had braces, I was able to work with both hands again. After about 2 weeks they finally did an x-ray of the wrist…

Excellent mount, good stabilization.

I got the player's thumb symptoms on my left hand and bought this brace. I have an orthosis on my right hand but this was a lot cheaper. Overall I'm very impressed with it, it's actually better made than the Air Cast brand and has better wrist stability. It has a bug that I've noticed that others have complained about and it's probably the only real bug and it causes pain at the base of the thumb. To prevent this I bought an inexpensive cotton jersey to wear under the brace and over my thumb…

Ouch! I do not recommend.

Oops! I injured my wrist. In the emergency room, the doctor gave me a similar removable splint to wear until I got to the local specialist. I went online to buy a second one for easier washing and rolling. Picked it up because it reminded me of the original. When it arrived I put it on. I have fairly thin wrists, an adult watch isn't a good reference for me, but not only was it uncomfortably tight, the metal splint caused legitimate pain beyond the basic pain of the injury. I tried wearing it…

Beware of possible damage to the nerve of the thumb!

I do not recommend this orthosis because of possible nerve damage! This bandage has several strengths, but there are also clear disadvantages, one in particular. I bought this due to wrist and thumb pain caused by both arthritis and pressure leaning on the walker. The metal detail on the palm, combined with the velcro straps, fixes the wrist very well and gives it rest. However, the metal part next to the thumb is in the wrong place, at least for me. It puts pressure on the radial nerve at the…

This is an excellent bandage for those suffering from De Quervain's Tendonitis. I was in so much pain in my left arm from the repetitive motions of tearing paper (for my job) that I needed to find some relief. Along with physical therapy and over-the-counter medication, this brace has helped me tremendously in stabilizing my wrist and thumb. This provides comfortable stabilization but doesn't interfere with using 4 other fingers. As my doctor explained, you need support from the front and back…
