1 out of 5. To make a long story short, bought 2 VIOFO A129 Duo cameras for 2 of my cars. I ordered the first set of cables as I decided parking mode could be useful. Set #1 arrived DOA. Keep in mind that I have a background in electronics and have done many DC installations both as a hobby and for a living. After 3 wasted hours of searching, moving fuses and troubleshooting to find out the unit is not providing power to the GPS base the camera is connected to; The connection to the cigarette lighter always works (no problem with the viewfinder base and camera). The return process has started. I looked for an alternative but decided to order #2 to be fair. I say electronics can be hit or miss. #2 arrived a few days later. This time the stand tested the suction cup first. It works. Installed in the car and everything works. Still works after a few days. I like it. Decided to order #3 for another car. Number 3 arrived the next day. Relax. Put #3 on the dyno test. What kind of *#%&? DOA? nope! I stubbornly decided to put it in the car, just in case. 3 hours later I foolishly confirm that I had a dud. Started the return process at #3. I've been looking all night for an alternative other than the VIOFO brand but couldn't find one that suits me as VIOFO is the only one with 4 different voltage cuts (I like 12.2v, others don't). have it). So I say one more chance. Number 4 is ordered. Number 4 arrived two days later. Everything was ordered from the Revain-filled VIOFO store. For fast and free Prime shipping. Try the sucker this time too. What is $@%#? DOA again? Don't be stupid this time and don't waste your precious time. The return process started at #4. The woman convinced me when it's just a few lousy apples in a whole bucket. Well, I said. Number 5 was ordered. Again via the VIOFO Store. The next day #5 arrived late at night but I couldn't wait. you guessed. #5 DOA also in dyno tests. It came in the same package. I did not remove a twisted link. #5.Refund Process Until VIOFO notices and resolves these quality control issues, DO NOT BUY FROM VIOFO STORE. This review was written on April 2nd, 2021. If there are any 5 star reviews after that date, PERMANENTLY, I've told you so. Good luck folks. Ordered #6 from Black Box My Car. They told me they were from Canada. Maybe you have different shipments of VIOFO with different batches and therefore different components? what have i got to lose Free shipping both ways, although it takes a little longer from Canada. 1 of 5 - 0.200. It's not even acceptable in baseball. Will check #6 and keep you posted.
