Love these microfiber towels. They absorb a lot more water than you might think, much like the suede you would use on your car. I'm not sure they can match Sham-Wow! because of the absorbency, but you can't catch me going to the gym with one of those purple As Shown on TV! towels. I use the small one (blue) for the gym. The middle one (grey) is actually in the diaper bag; ideal for covering nasty changing tables in public areas. The large (orange) is really the size of a large bath towel; The reduced volume is perfect to bring along a few to cover the whole family. They are doing a great job with the laundry abuse that has been inflicted on them so far. I see not to use fabric softener; I just hang them up by a loop right out of the washing machine and they air dry very quickly. I see no reduction in "softness" when I discard the down. Pros: Extremely thin yet super absorbent Removes almost all of the bulk associated with towel wraps No lint, colors are vibrant and hold up well after multiple washes I don't like the stitching all the way around the towel, although I'm sure they are are added overall strength. I would prefer a laser cut edge to avoid the threading feel. Pocket; I would have preferred a rolled bag but the flatness of their bag is attractive on many occasions. I weighed towels and bags separately on my accurate kitchen scale for those considering camping/hiking weights. SMALL (blue) towel = 1.35 oz (38 g) bag = 0.2 oz (5 g) MEDIUM (grey) towel = 4.95 oz (143 g) bag = 0.25 oz (6 g) LARGE ( orange) Towel = 8.45 oz (240 g) Bag = 0.4 oz (11 g)
