This was my first foray into a protein powder without whey protein (which upsets my stomach). I looked at a few different brands of rice, egg white, and pea protein and compared the cost per gram of protein and this was the cheapest over the long run (with the added bonus of relative affordability). low in calories compared to other protein sources), so I decided to give it a try. What I didn't understand was that "no taste" is NOT the same as "no taste" (I should have known). Even mixed with chocolate milk (and I'm talking 3x the Nesquick strength you normally use) or a chocolate berry smoothie, it's still incredibly bitter/chalky. I'm curious to cook with it to see if it can soften it somehow, but otherwise this stuff will be hard to get through (which is a shame because it's so cheap!). On the plus side, this stuff doesn't aggravate my colitis like whey protein does, so I would choose it for colitis/IBS!
