My husband's truck requires his cell phone to be attached to the vent and it should work without much fuss or care. This is by far the best mount we've found. It's solid and doesn't immediately give the impression that it's about to break again (although the tab that leads into the vent is plastic, not metal). The air vent holder is adjustable with a knob, which also clicks slightly when changing the position, preventing it from slipping. It fits very well and in place. So the first bonus point. The holder doesn't have a magnet (which got my husband thinking at first), but the three prong holder is so amazing (and yes, I use that word on purpose) that it works great. The two upper arms of this holder rise when the phone is placed on the bottom "shelf" and automatically rotate up and down to hold the phone. This works for different sized phones and keeps each one secure even on bumpy roads. In fact, we loved the design so much that we played around with it for over a few minutes just to see how it works (how often do engineers get things right?). So we highly recommend this air vent holder and are very glad we came across it. .
