This is a great dehumidifier for 6 months. I have yet to find a dehumidifier that lasts longer than 1 year. The Ivation was replaced under the manufacturer's warranty 6 months after receipt and it cost me $50 to ship it back to them. Literally the other day, the second had exactly the same problem - freezing. According to my online research, this is caused by coolant loss. Luckily, based on my experience with other products, I purchased an extended 3 year warranty. Great product, poor reliability. Update: June 29, 2018 - I'm changing my rating to 5 stars as Ivation contacted me about my experience with this product based on my review and they expedited an identical new replacement that works great. As I said, the thing really pulls moisture out of the air - impressive. Hats off to Tom at DBroth. Update 1st January 2019 - I'm resetting my rating to 1 star because exactly 6 months after Ivation replaced this dehumidifier for free it freezes again. As long as it works this is a great product but it should last 6+ months!
