Required for a wireless headset (Plantronics Savi W710 Dect Headset). I have a Panasonic desk phone and it works great with it. I was a little nervous because I had one in my old work office and it never fitted properly (sorry I can't remember what brand of phones we had if I knew). The key is to go to their website and read how it should fit on a phone and make sure your phone matches the description. Essentially, there should be a ledge where the handset sits on the phone base to prevent the phone from sliding off the base when the lifter picks up the handset. How high the pipe rises is adjustable and easy to adjust by following the instructions. It also helps if your phone has a speaker that clicks into place when the phone is picked up. Read the instructions, don't remove the tape until you know where to apply it, and test your phone to make sure it works with it. Check out the photos I've attached to see what I mean about the shape of the earpiece and the tab (or cup) that the tube sits on to keep it from slipping out. Daily for 2 years and I still love it. It still works great. The headset is comfortable, the buttons are comfortable and the lighter is worth it! Haven't had any issues with features etc for 2 years. Great reliable product.
