At first I was nervous that my new parrot wouldn't eat it but he seems to like it. When I first brought him home I was offered 2 bowls: one with a mix of seeds and granules and the other with just granules. No wonder he liked the seeds better. However, one day when I took out the plate of seeds to clean it, he walked over to the plate that only contained the pellets and started eating. I now feed him pellets for free so he always has something healthy to eat when he gets hungry. I germinate some of the seeds and use ungerminated seeds for food toys and millet for training. So I know the basis of his diet is healthy, but he's motivated to work for small, controlled amounts of seeds and millet. The pellets are just the right size for its beak, about the size of millet seeds.
