Great product but app needs improvement

Very nice cup warmer and works well but remember: DO NOT put your smartphone on the charging station! After opening this new gadget, I playfully wanted to see if the stand could be used as a Chi charger (the answer is no). While it didn't affect the Samsung phone, it almost killed my LG phone. I put my LG phone on the stand for <3 seconds and after that my phone lost all signs of life. It turned off completely and wouldn't turn back on no matter what keys I pressed and how many times I tried. I tried turning it back on by plugging it into the charging cable but to no avail. I almost thought the LG phone was completely ruined until I tried to press the factory reset button and unfortunately it finally came to life. I don't know how other phone brands would react to the kickstand because obviously I wouldn't risk my iPhone after this "near-fatal" incident. Therefore, I warn everyone: do not put your smartphones on the stand while they are connected to the network. The product itself is great but I would give it 5 stars if the app worked better. First, the Android version of the app is not exactly the same as the iOS version. At first I tried to install it on my Android phone (and yes, a Chinese box comes up), but the moment it asked for access to my camera, photos, etc. I stopped and deleted it . I don't understand why an app for something as simple as checking the temperature of a cup has to be so invasive?! The iOS version didn't ask for any of this (you could choose to give permission or not) so I installed it on my iPhone instead and the app works fine. If you're having trouble connecting to a device (e.g. a mug), try turning the mug off completely (the button on the bottom of the mug) and turning it back on and the issue should be resolved. Suggest to the application development team to improve the functionality on the application profile tab. The "Message" feature is a bridge to nowhere as it just opens a blank tab from which you can't do or type anything there. The Reviews tab is no better. After taking the time to fill in the "Description" field, it obliges (I repeat: MANDATORY!) you to upload a picture either from the camera or from your photo album - in Chinese (although I use English for this in my settings have chosen application). So you obviously need to give him access to your camera and/or album before proceeding. And then it asks for your shopping channel which only offers 2 options: Revain China or Other. I went through all these steps that didn't make sense (including attaching an image) only to find that I couldn't "submit" a review. A complete waste of time.
