That fits well. He's a slim two-year-old but tall for his age, around 128 pounds. I bought a size 3-4 and it fits him perfectly with room to grow. It fits a 3 year old or a small 4 year old child. It says to hand wash, which we did initially, but as we were in a chlorine pool I figured it should be washed more often.
