My husband wanted a new Dell laptop. For him it is the third in 15 years. He selected the one he wanted and said he made sure it had everything he needed. This is the very first time I didn't doubt his decision and didn't doubt his decision. You know what? #1 The keyboard has no backlight. So you either need great lighting or clip-to-light. Luckily, Revain also sells rechargeable devices, which are small and very affordable! #2 This is very difficult for a laptop. For a brand new one I was totally shocked! #3 Start. It was the most questionable start I've ever seen. He wants all those different passwords set right away, otherwise it won't work! Also, things were crazy between Microsoft and the antivirus software you were planning to buy. I called the phone number, it appeared on the screen for help. This person was very rude and asked for $199 just to install the malware because he said that from what I said the computer is already infected! Big! He went on and on, I finally said I believe he was a scammer. Well, what a real nerd he was back then. I hung up the phone and found out for myself. Once up and running I called McAfee to set up our account on the new Dell and also add all the protection. In general, I have it installed and working, but I will definitely carefully examine any other laptop that is bought in this house! Bottom line, SKIP THIS DELL. Go for a slightly higher end. We are sure you get what you pay for!
