This jug was exactly what I was looking for. I needed one that could only hold half a gallon of liquid. Not an easy find, most of them are much larger. Initially I was looking for plastic but I found this one and it was even more than I was hoping for. You can put hot or cold liquids in it, which makes it even better for me. When it's full and you're trying to water, it's not too heavy. There is a nice lid on the top that can be easily opened for pouring and then closed in the fridge. The hole is large enough to fit a wooden spoon for stirring and my hand for washing. The added benefit of utility is that it looks very nice on a nicely set dining table, which I would never do with a plastic table. I spent a lot of time looking for exactly what I wanted and I'm glad I did. That fits the bill perfectly!
