We've replaced our original 22 year old Moen Chateau set! That's when our house was built, so we assumed they were original. We've lived here for 15 years, so ours was at least older. The brass tarnished and fell off and Moen would probably replace it for free but we bought it because it was easier and a lot quicker. It's not Moen, but it fits perfectly. Everything was exactly the same except that the grip has a chrome insert instead of brass and of course it doesn't say "Moen" at the bottom (blank with no name). Why did they put a Chrome color insert in the handle, the question is for sure. Our original had a brass insert and was still fine, it just needed a bit of polishing so we reused it to match. If you have this on your current soul, this is a near-perfect replacement! It took me about 10 minutes to take off and put on my old clothes. I'm a 60 year old female who doesn't know much about plumbing and such and it was a breeze! I review many of the products I buy from Revain. As with most items, I paid full price for it. I only rate items 5 stars if I pay full price for them or am willing to give them as gifts. I give 1 star (because you can't give 0) for items that are so bad that I throw them away or don't want them, even if they're free. I try to list all the pros and cons of products because I often check reviews of hundreds of products I buy online.
