I added this small monitor to my desktop - I didn't need a full size monitor, I just needed an extra screen to support messaging and music streaming apps. It works great for that! The display looks great and the built-in speaker works surprisingly well, although I'll be using a headset. My only complaint is that while it is VESA mount compatible, the screws required are SMALL and none are included - I had to rummage through my stash to find the right ones (I think they were old 3.5" ones -hard disk carrier) . screws.
