Review on πŸ“Ž Swingline Precision Pro Desktop Hole Punch: Adjustable, 2-3 Holes, 10 Sheet Punch Capacity, Black/Gold (74086) by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Inexpensive but difficult to adjust

Just received and a little disappointed with not being easy to set up. After years of punching scripts (3 holes on the side) and legal documents (2 holes on top), most of the work has now shifted to electronic "paper". But sometimes, when you still need real paper, a hole punch comes to the rescue. I got this when I suddenly needed to replace a trusty old all-metal 3-hole punch that was finally wearing out (after 30 years!) PROS: - Heavy enough to stay in place while punching holes. Not skinny. Easily punches 5-8 sheets of paper at a time. Price. $8 is a good deal. If it works. CONS: - Not easy to set up. You need to loosen and move the 3 screws on the bottom. I think they're plastic, what if they break? that's all there is to the perforator. -- The holes are close to the edge of the paper and cannot be adjusted. -- Part metal construction only -- so far so good, but the rubber-plastic shell can come loose after long use, and if just one of those screws breaks, the whole hit [haha, little pun ;-p] wins. I do not work.

Pros
  • LESS CLOSER: Easily sliding chip tray makes removing punched holes quick and easy. Removable tray that is built into the base of the punch
Cons
  • Something different
